1. Mite Registration (2003 and later birth years)

Mites will not need to tryout but do need to register for the upcoming season. There is a separate mite registration form. All mites will be participating in the American Developmental Model (cross ice rather than full ice) and will receive one session per week beginning in August and at least two sessions per week September through February. More specific information will be sent to those who register for the program or you can email Bernie or Carole at bawoodrow@aol.com or call 724-335-9005.

Any player born in 2003 who played on a team which participated in PAHL last season may choose to participate this year as a squirt and tryout as a squirt. However, these players must submit a playing up waiver which is available on the PAHL web site.

In order to register for the mite program, please submit the completed mite registration form with a commitment check for $100 made out to NHAHA and a copy of the player’s birth certificate. This registration fee will be considered a payment toward the fees for the entire season. All mites must have a USA Hockey Registration number. (Please see #4 below.)

Click here for the mite registration form.

2. Tryout Registration, costs, and fees for AA, A & B

The tryout fee is $100 for a player trying out for our AA, A, and B teams. If you submit the registration form and check (made out to NHAHA) by March 15, the fee is reduced to $75. If submitted betweeen March 16 and April 15 the fee is reduced to $85. The tryout fee is nonrefundable, even if you do not attend all 3 tryout sessions or decide not to play on a NHAHA team. If the player is new to NHAHA, you must also send a copy of the player’s birth certificate.

If you do not preregister, when you come to tryouts, you will need the registration form, copy of birth certificate if new player to NHAHA, check for $100, and a separate check for $250 for the commitment fee. If you preregister, all you will need is the commitment check for $250.

The commitment fee will be deposited only after tryouts are completed and you have accepted team placement. If you are not placed on a team or do not accept the team placement, the commitment check will be destroyed. You will have 24 hours after notification of placement on a team to decline that placement by email. If you wish to have the returned to you, you must give us a stamped self-addressed envelope. Once you accept the team placement, this amount is nonrefundable and counts as your first payment of the season fees. All checks should be made out to NHAHA.

If you preregister, you would only need to stop at the registration desk to pick up a tryout number and turn in a commitment check when you come for tryouts.

Any registrations postmarked after March 15, 2011 will not be eligible for the $25 discount or after April 15, 2011 will not be eligible for the $15 discount.

No registrations will be accepted without the tryout fee. If you send a registration form without a payment you will not be preregistered.

Those registrations with credit card information can be emailed to (Bawoodrow@aol.com).

3. Credit Card Use

All tryout fees, commitment fees, and season payments may be paid for by using a VISA or Master Card. The Credit Card Use Form is on the Home Page of the Viper web site and will be available at tryout registration.

4. IMR Number

Every player must be registered with USA Hockey. When you register, you will be given an IMR number. That number must be included on the registration form. We must have the new number for the 2011 – 2012 season. Do not give us the number you used for this past season even though that membership may not have expired.

USA Hockey registration is a requirement to play hockey for any association and is not part of your Season Fees to NHAHA and is not reimbursable.

5. Placement on a Team

Team placement will be announced on the website shortly after the last tryout date for each division. More specific information will be supplied at tryouts. If you choose to decline the placement on a team, you will have 24 hours after notification to do so. The commitment check will be deposited at that time and will be nonrefundable.

The level of the team (AA, A Major, A Minor, B) will be determined by PAHL. We can make a recommendation, but PAHL will determine the ranking of the team and we can make no guarantee of the level of play of any team.
